Guest Line, a product of GUESTII PTY LTD · Last updated May 2026

This policy explains how your personal information is handled when you buy a ticket, request a booth or guest list spot, submit a birthday request, follow a venue, or otherwise use Guest Line. Please read it alongside the Guest Line Terms and Conditions.

Who you are dealing with

Guest Line is event software provided by GUESTII PTY LTD. When you use Guest Line, you are dealing with the organiser or promoter running the event you are attending or following. The organiser decides what information to collect from you and why. GUESTII PTY LTD provides the software and stores the information securely on the organiser's behalf, but we do not use it for our own purposes.

In privacy terms, the organiser is responsible for your information. GUESTII PTY LTD acts on the organiser's instructions.

What we collect

The information collected through Guest Line is limited to a defined set of details. Depending on what the organiser asks, this may include your name, phone number, email address, date of birth, gender, and a public social media profile such as your Instagram handle.

Organisers set their own questions on tickets and request forms, but only from this defined set. Guest Line is not used to collect sensitive information such as health, dietary, religious or similar details.

If you choose to provide a social media handle, that handle points to your public profile. It is used to confirm your identity and to recognise which promoter invited you.

How your information is used

Your information is used to run the event you have engaged with. This includes processing and confirming your ticket purchase, managing booth, guest list and birthday requests, recording which venues you follow and which events you attend, allowing the organiser and promoter team to manage entry on the night, and sending you invites back to future events at a venue you have engaged with.

Guest Line does not offer outbound marketing. We do not sell your information, and we never will. The only emails sent through Guest Line are invites back to a venue's own future events, sent because you bought a ticket or made a request with that venue. You can unfollow the venue at any time to stop them.

Who can see your information

Your information is encrypted. Only the organiser and their promoter team can access it. It is not shared between different organisations, and it is not shared with third parties.

When a promoter leaves an organisation, their access to that organisation's data is removed.

When you buy a ticket or request a service from a venue, you automatically follow that venue. This lets the venue use your email to invite you back to its own future events. It does not allow general marketing, and your details are not used by any other venue. You can unfollow a venue at any time to stop receiving its invites.

Payments

Payments, in person and online, are processed by Square through the organiser's own Square account. Guest Line does not collect, hold or have access to your card details. Square handles your payment information under its own terms and privacy policy, and the organiser is the merchant for your purchase.

Where your information is stored

Your information is stored on secure Amazon Web Services infrastructure located in Australia. Reasonable technical and organisational steps are taken to protect it, including encryption and restricted access.

Automated decisions

If an organiser uses Guest Line to automatically approve or decline a request based on the details you provide, this will be made clear at the point you submit your request. You can ask the organiser for a human to review any such decision.

Keeping and deleting your information

Your information is kept for as long as the organiser needs it to run their events and to meet their legal obligations, and is then deleted or de-identified. The organiser sets the retention period for their own events.

Your rights

You can ask to access the information held about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted. Because the organiser is responsible for your information, please direct these requests, and any complaint, to the organiser running the event you engaged with.

If you cannot identify or reach the organiser, contact GUESTII PTY LTD at legal@guestii.com and we will help you reach them or assist where we reasonably can.

If you are not satisfied with how your complaint is handled, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
